Refreshments for Feb.1

 

Just a reminder that the Board is providing refreshments for Monday's rehearsal (meet and greet time).  We are staying with finger foods so we don't need to use the kitchen. Julie Moomaw has paper products, and she and Bruce Johnson are providing drinks.  The rest of the board members need to bring something edible.  Karen, if you need help with set-up, let us know.  See you then!

Rehearsal Cancelled Jan. 25

Due to the blizzard, our first rehearsal has been postponed until Monday, Feb.1. We will have "meet and greet" time from 7-7:30, then rehearsal. Please try and bring a friend!

Our First 2016 Rehearsal/ Spring Concert Dates

Happy New Year!  I'm sure you've been waiting for this e-mail.  Masterworks Chorus will resume rehearsals at Emanuel Lutheran in Woodstock on Monday, Jan. 25 with "meet and greet" from 7:00 to 7:30 p.m. and rehearsal from 7:30 to 9:00 p.m.  Bring a friend like last time, and auditions for those interested will be held Monday, Feb. 1 from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m.  Concert dates are the weekend of May 6-8 (a slight change from what was announced earlier).  Yes, we know it is Mother's Day weekend, but are hoping that this will acutally be a positive thing.  If you anticipate missing more than two rehearsals, please speak to Scott directly.  More info forthcoming.

Awesome concert this afternoon at Reformation Church! Great music, excellent direction, outstanding readings and solos, wonderful percussion and piano! Kudos to Scott Zane Smith, Elizabeth Dressler-Williams, Christopher Martin Cerreto, and ALL of the talented singers! Your concerts are an inspiration and your selection "Wishing for Peace" expresses the sentiments of many this Advent season!

Just wanted to remind everyone that we will be at Muhlenberg Lutheran in Harrisonburg Monday, Nov. 30.

Carol of the Bells, Little Drummer Boy/Peace on Earth, O Holy Night, and then Agnus Dei. 

Ramona is going to try to pick up several black folders at Emanuel in case anyone needs a folder.
